The Minnesota prison system was shaped by policies that have disproportionately incarcerated people of color. Through collective power, legislative action and meaningful policy change, we are working to dismantle this system and replace it with one rooted in safety, rehabilitation and human dignity.

We envision a Minnesota where cycles of incarceration and poverty are replaced with opportunities for dignified work, pathways to lasting prosperity and avenues for intergenerational healing. Our work focuses on transforming the policies and systems that perpetuate incarceration while building a future where individuals, families and communities have the resources and opportunities to thrive.
